|
A 4-RBI performance from Gilberto Jiménez, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA in total bases with 34, helped the Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Alloway Halberds, 10-3. Santiago López, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 6 innings. The Lake Monsters, now 10-5, have been playing some good baseball.
Jiménez had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Lake Monsters went on to win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Jiménez said.
