Longnecks Clip Disaster in Tight Contest

The Bloomington Longnecks extended their winning streak at Ballpark of Port Royal.
The Bloomington Longnecks did just enough to sneak past the Port Royal Disaster, 7-6, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Bloomington catcher Toussiant L'Ouverture earned player of the game honors. It was the 13th win in 14 games this year for the defending champion Longnecks, who are picking up where they left off.
It could have been a different outcome for Bloomington, had it not been for Silvio Bonauiti, the 24-year old right fielder . Bonauiti contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Bloomington up, 5-4.
"I felt good up there," said Bonauiti. "I saw the ball well."
