Faraday Helps Longnecks Run Win Streak to 12
|
The Bloomington Longnecks bested the Port Royal Disaster, 11-6, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Daniel Faraday was named player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Longnecks, now 12-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Faraday had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Longnecks went on to win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Faraday.
