Drummers Win at Scranton, 10-1
|
The exploits of center fielder Sean Godron, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in home runs with 2, helped the Tortolita Drummers defeat the Scranton Supernovas, 10-1. Godron went 3-6 with 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. It was the 9th win in 12 games this year for the defending champion Drummers, who are picking up where they left off.
With Tortolita leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Godron hit a fastball from Osvaldo Garibe for a bases-clearing double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Drummers ahead, 4-0.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Godron.
