The Tremont Doubledays wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Josef Strolz, falling 2-1 to the Alloway Halberds at Doubledays Stadium. The win was credited to Bryan Tuff in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Rodríguez took the loss. With the win, Alloway elevates its record to 3-2.

Ethan Stanford made it 2-1 in favor of Alloway when he delivered a solo home run. It came with no one out in the top of the ninth. The Halberds went on to win.

In postgame comments to the Alloway Observer, Stanford said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
