Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Bloomington Longnecks home opener. Ieyoshi Asai started for the home team against Gilberto Ramírez for the Alloway Halberds. The Longnecks were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 15-2, Alloway. Jesús Trevino was named player of the game. Willie Simmons closed the game out for Alloway, earning his 1st save.

Rafael Delgado aided the Alloway cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the first. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Trevino said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
