Shooters Fall to .500 After Loss to Sixshooters
|
Westwood left-hander Chet Saks made an effective start against the Springfield Shooters at Springfield Stadium, leading his team to a 8-4 win. Westwood is now 31-55, Springfield 43-43.
Steve Bock didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to put Westwood on top, 2-0.
"I know we have our doubters," said Springfield manager John Carney. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
