Farmers Field was the site for USSL Double A action featuring the Lancaster Farmers and Athletic Club KC Academy.

The Athletic Club KC Academy beat the Lancaster Farmers, 7-2, at Farmers Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Troy Whitehurst, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Byron Rosebotham got the win, improving to 5-2. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 0 and walking 1.

Roger Caffyn, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in RBI with 44, aided the Athletic Club KC Academy cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI.

"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Whitehurst.

The Athletic Club KC Academy own a robust 47-25 mark.
