The Long Island Seawolves got a strong performance from pitcher Jaime Gabriel, who stymied the Lancaster offense en route to a 3-1 win at Ballpark of Remsen. John Kraan earned the save for Long Island, his 5th. At 30-27, Long Island is in third place in the Silver AA.

The Seawolves got a big at-bat from catcher DeAndre Thomas. For the game, Thomas was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Long Island a 2-1 lead.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Thomas told the Long Island Citizen.
