José Xirau put on a hitting clinic today as the Lancaster Farmers dumped the San Antonio BC 16-15 at Farmers Field.

The Lancaster shortstop made San Antonio defenders earn their pay, lashing San Antonio pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Xirau said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

José Xirau singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 10th.
