Big Day for Curry as Seawolves Down BC, 8-4
|
Benefiting from Jackson Curry's productive game, the Long Island Seawolves downed the San Antonio BC, 8-4. Curry was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Seawolves. José González got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 4. Long Island is now 20-18.
Curry had a key at-bat for Long Island early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 3rd double of the season and gave Long Island an early 1-0 lead.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Matt Helsley said.
