Farmers Squelch Shooters Offense in Shutout Win
|
Lancaster Farmers starter Naozane Kobayashi pitched a strong game against the Springfield Shooters at Farmers Field, leading the Farmers to a 5-0 win. Lancaster has now won 3 straight, while the Shooters have lost 3 in a row.
Early in the game, center fielder Robert La Caze had a 2-run single for Lancaster. It was his 25th hit of the season and put the Farmers on top, 2-0.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," La Caze told a Lancaster Times reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
