Rapiers Topple BC with Late Rally
|
The Durham Rapiers topped the San Antonio BC, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at Rapiers Ballpark. The player of the game was Durham pitcher Francisco Rivera. The Rapiers, now 12-6, have been on a roll in the early going.
Armando Chamú was the walk-off hero for Durham. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rapiers designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Rivera.
