Sonics Reel Off Another Win
|
Kelvin Abbott left his imprint on the 10-1 Atlantic City win against the Lancaster Farmers. Abbott, who is tied for 2nd in the SAA in triples with 2, went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Lincoln Spooner, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits in 7.2 innings. The Sonics raised their record to 11-5.
Eddie Sachs, who is tied for 5th in the SAA in total bases with 32, aided the Atlantic City cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Abbott.
