Big Day for Sachs as Sonics Down Shooters, 7-3
|
A 4-RBI performance from Eddie Sachs, who is rated as the 20th best prospect by BNN, helped the Atlantic City Sonics beat the Springfield Shooters, 7-3. Atlantic City reliever Doppo Omikado was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Tomás Galván took the loss. The win brings the Sonics to 8-5, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Alejandro Sánchez's at-bat in the top of the ninth inning was a big one for Atlantic City. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Atlantic City leading 4-3, the third baseman hit a 2-run single.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Sachs.
