Big Day for Ruano as Sixshooters Down Rapiers, 12-9

The Westwood Sixshooters and Durham Rapiers lit up the scoreboard at Rapiers Ballpark.
The Westwood Sixshooters dealt the Durham Rapiers a 12-9 loss at Rapiers Ballpark. Jesús Ruano was the star on offense. He went 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Westwood reliever Alfonso Santa Maria got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Francisco Rivera was tagged with the loss.
Richard Cutshall, who is tied for 5th in the SAA with a .620 slugging percentage, helped out the Westwood cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the designated hitter was 3-6 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Cutshall.
The Sixshooters, now 3-9, have not found much traction so far in 2030.
