|
The Durham Rapiers relied on the hitting of shortstop Anthony Hopkins to stop the Irving Blue Sox, 8-4. For the game, Hopkins was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Lance de Valk got the win, improving to 1-1. He held the Blue Sox to 2 earned runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 3. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Quinton Richards.
