4-1 Win by Misfits Continues Hot Start

It was a good time at Ricochets Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Westwood Sixshooters and Salem Misfits get after it.
Salem right-hander Lorenzo Valverde made an effective start against the Westwood Sixshooters at Ricochets Ballpark, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Valverde got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Valverde allowed 1 earned run.
In the top of the eighth, Jesús Rodríguez stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Sixshooters were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Justin Furneaux made a terrific pitch and Rodríguez grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Westwood comeback.
The win takes Salem to 6-2.
