Late Rally by Sonics Secures Win
|
Atlantic City first baseman Eddie Sachs was instrumental in his team's 9-4 win over the San Antonio BC. Sachs, the two overall pick in the 2028 draft, went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Sonics. Doppo Omikado earned the save for Atlantic City, his 1st of the year. With the win, Atlantic City boosts its record to 1-1.
Had Jeff Quesenberry not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Quesenberry hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Sonics.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Sachs said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
