Ghosts Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The Casper Ghosts and San Bernardino Grasshoppers played a tight game at The Graveyard, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
Casper beat San Bernardino on the strength of starter Rhett Abbott's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Wong Fei-Hung locked down his 1st save.
Casper shortstop José Córdova contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Córdova went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Ghosts manager Mike Cunningham. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
Casper is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 4 games.
