Dodos Fall Short, 3-2, at Alaskan

Miguel Álvarez could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Hialeah Dodos lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Alaskan Humpbacks at Sea World. Alaskan reliever Carlos Díaz picked up the win, upping his record to 6-10. Miguel Álvarez shouldered the loss. The second-place Dodos have dropped 4 straight games.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when designated hitter Herman Hayes, who is tied for 6th in the 3AAA in home runs with 13, drew a walk. The Humpbacks went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hayes told the Alaskan Daily News.
