Fighting Dachsunds Get Road Win, 5-2
|
Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds starter Benjamin Busto was in fine form against the Pennsauken Flyers at Pennsauken Park, leading his team to a 5-2 win. Busto got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 12 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Busto allowed 2 earned runs. Félix Santiago converted his 19th save in 23 tries.
José Vázquez, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA with a .312 batting average, helped out the Ellenburg cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Vázquez told the Ellenburg Times.
Ellenburg is now 43-35.
