Brinkley and Sunset District duked it out at Fog Park and the Belugas came out victorious.
The Brinkley Belugas topped the Sunset District Fog, 8-5, in M3L Triple A action at Fog Park. The player of the game was Brinkley pitcher and Havana, Cuba native Luis Hernández. The winning pitcher was Hernández, now 7-5. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9.
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant for the Belugas. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Brinkley leading 3-2, the catcher hit a 2-run single.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Hernández.
Brinkley is 37-38 and Sunset District, with the loss, 46-29.
