Fung Helps Great Lakers Run Win Streak to 4
|
Pure Michigan third baseman Zong-yuan Fung had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 8-7 win over the Brinkley Belugas. José López earned the save, his 7th, for the Great Lakers. Pure Michigan has a 4-game win streak, while Brinkley has lost 5 in a row.
The most important at-bat for Pure Michigan came in the top of the ninth inning, when pinch hitter Lorenzo Ruíz stroked a first pitch fastball to left for a 2-run home run, putting Pure Michigan up, 8-6.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Great Lakers manager Mark Everhart. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
