Golden Cranes Jolt Humpbacks with Late Rally
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes picked up a win at Crane Field, knocking off the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-2. Starting pitcher Pedro Castro played a key role in the triumph. Santa Barbara now owns a record of 32-24.
Sixto Álvarez was the walk-off hero for Santa Barbara. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Golden Cranes pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"I thought we played a nice game," Castro told the Santa Barbara Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
