The exploits of left fielder Ruben Yim, who was drafted in the three round of the 2025 draft, helped the Hamilton Coyotes defeat the Brinkley Belugas, 8-1. Yim was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Hamilton reliever Reynaldo Sánchez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Fernando Padilla was saddled with the loss. Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 16-39 record.
Yim had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Coyotes went on to win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Yim told the Hamilton Daily News.
