Dodos Turn Back Hamilton, 8-6
|
The Hialeah Dodos bested the Hamilton Coyotes by a score of 8-6, with center fielder Jorge Salgado getting the main credit. On the day, Salgado went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Dodos. Hialeah is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Leo Szilard went 1 for 3 with 2 walks for Hialeah. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Neal Davis. It was his 4th walk of the season.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Szilard.
