Manning, Golden Cranes Rough Up Belugas
|
Belugas Ballpark was the site for M3L Triple A action featuring the Brinkley Belugas and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes.
Santa Barbara catcher Logan Manning played a vital role in his team's 12-3 triumph over Brinkley. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Santa Barbara. Leroy Picot got the win, improving to 2-4. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2.
Manning had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Golden Cranes went on to win.
"We take it day by day here," said Manning, "and today was a good one for us."
Santa Barbara currently is in 5th place in the Menard's AAA at 30-23.
