Late Rally by Fighting Dachsunds Secures Win
|
The Fighting Dachsunds faced a stiff challenge from Brinkley pitcher Luis Hernández, but persevered to claim a win at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The final score was 6-5. Hernández went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Dave Mitchell picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-2. Don Teehan was tagged with the loss. Ellenburg has now won 3 in a row.
Francis Kelly was the walk-off hero for Ellenburg. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fighting Dachsunds left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
