Fans who came to Dog Park in Ellenburg watched the Pennsauken Flyers and the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds fight to the finish.
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Juan Torres, the Pennsauken Flyers defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 4-3. Torres went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs for the Flyers. Manny Hernández finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Torres had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch cutter from Félix Santiago, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Flyers a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Torres.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Torres.
The Flyers now have a mark of 16-26.
