Fighting Dachsunds Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
It was a good time at Dog Park in Ellenburg, where fans came to watch the Hamilton Coyotes and Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds get after it.
Ellenburg starter Ed Stark pitched effectively against the Hamilton Coyotes at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Stark got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Stark allowed 1 earned run. Félix Santiago earned the save for Ellenburg, his 9th of the year.
Ryan French aided the Ellenburg cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Stark told the Ellenburg Times.
Ellenburg has an impressive 19-9 record.
