Belugas Come Back Late, Nip Timber Hawks
|
Augusta catcher Juan Gabriel had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Brinkley at Belugas Ballpark. Gabriel went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Augusta's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman Brandon Cole, who was drafted in the three round of the 2023 draft, reached on an error by the 2B. The Belugas went on to win.
