Flyers Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Pennsauken Flyers starter Vincent O'Higgin turned in a top-notch performance against the Hamilton Coyotes at Pennsauken Park. The result was a win for the Flyers, 4-2. Stanley Kent closed the game out for Pennsauken, earning his 2nd save. The Coyotes, at 2-11, have stumbled out of the gate.
The Flyers got a big at-bat from right fielder Marc Beck. For the game, Beck went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Pennsauken a 2-0 lead.
In postgame comments to the Pennsauken Herald, Beck said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
