It was a fun time at Smoke Ballpark, where the Richardson City Thundercats and Atlanta Smoke tangled.

The Atlanta Smoke defeated the Richardson City Thundercats, 5-3, in United States Premier League action at Smoke Ballpark. Albert Morán received player of the game honors. The 12-year veteran went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Atlanta, at 10-18, sits in last place in the Premier League.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the bottom of the second inning. That's when catcher Gerardo Castillo, who is a two-time Gold Glove winner, drew a walk. The Smoke went on to win.

In postgame comments to the Atlanta Observer, Castillo said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
