Peret Dazzles in Brinkley Win
|
Brinkley and Pennsauken duked it out at Pennsauken Park and the Belugas came out victorious.
Carlos Peret never let the Flyers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Belugas to a 4-1 win. António Rúbio picked up the save, his 3rd.
The Flyers had trouble solving Peret, who surrendered 1 earned run on 3 hits over 7 innings.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Peret, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Belugas keep rolling, raising their record to 4-0.
