Belugas Raise Rally Flag, Beat Hamilton, 6-3

The Brinkley Belugas stopped the Hamilton Coyotes, 6-3, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The Belugas got a big game from Brandon Cole, who went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brinkley reliever Ánibal Rivera was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Bruce Hamilton. António Rúbio was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.
Had William O'Keefe not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, O'Keefe hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Belugas.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Cole. "And not try to do too much."
The Belugas, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.
