Hamm Zeroes In On Chicago
|
Today was Wes Hamm's turn in the rotation for the Phoenix Hotspur and he made the most of it, shutting out the Chicago Gold Sox on 5 hits.
The 31-year-old left-hander led the Hotspur to an easy 11-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 8 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Chicago manager John S said. "Hamm certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
To date this year, Hamm shows a 3-2 record, 6 starts, 46.2 innings, 43 strikeouts and a 3.66 ERA.
