Stingers Lose to Legion, 2-1
|
Noburo Oishi pitched a gem to lead Kingston Township to a 2-1 victory over the Toledo Stingers. John Riggleman closed the game out for Kingston Township, earning his 5th save. Even with the win, the Legion have a dismal 10-22 record.
It could have been a different outcome for Kingston Township, had it not been for António González, the 26-year old shortstop . González contributed a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Kingston Township up, 2-1.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Legion manager Rayzor Ray. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
