Thundercats Trip Hotspur in Extras
|
The Phoenix Hotspur got a superb performance from pitcher Alejandro Guerra. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Richardson City. The Thundercats won the game, 7-2. In spite of the loss, Guerra was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Richardson City reliever Ramón Torres picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Alexander Weareorwear shouldered the loss. Richardson City, at 11-13, occupies 6th place in the Premier League.
IV Seacat had the most critical at-bat for Richardson City. With one in the top of the tenth inning, Seacat hit a first pitch sinker from Alexander Weareorwear for a 2-run double. It put Richardson City in front, 3-1.
"It was terrific getting this win," Seacat said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
