There was never a dull moment in this extra-length game between the Grafton Middies and the New Amsterdam Dutchmen.
Grafton Middies starter Ángel Rosas was in fine form against the New Amsterdam Dutchmen at Dutch Master Park, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Grafton reliever Lynwood Matos picked up the win to move to 1-0. Frenk Norman suffered the loss.
Ramón Gómez, who is a three-time Gold Glove winner, helped out the Grafton cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Gómez.
The Middies improve their record to 50-49 with the win over New Amsterdam.
