|
Rocky Mountain starter Juan Guillén pitched effectively against the Wizarding Express at Nuggets Park. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Guillén went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 15-3. Jorge Garza sewed up the save, his 23rd.
Roberto Salazar, who is tied for 5th in the SL in triples with 5, aided the Rocky Mountain cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder went 1-2 with 2 walks.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Guillén said.
After today's action, Rocky Mountain sits at 50-44, while Wizarding falls to 56-38.
