Middies Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Express

Grafton withstood an impressive performance by Wizarding right fielder Salvador Trevino to defeat the Express, 7-4, at Field of the Middies. Trevino hit 2 home runs. Grafton reliever Kenete Daku was credited with the win, to go to 4-4. Marcos Oquendo took the loss for Wizarding. Grafton, at 47-46, sits in 6th place in the Silver League.
Had Pedro Santos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Santos hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 7-4, in favor of the Middies.
"Enjoyed this one," Santos told the Grafton Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
