Hideaki Saikawa Out for Season Wednesday, September 5th, 2029 A blow for Hideaki Saikawa today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with bone chips in his elbow. Saikawa suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Northville Eclipse are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Saikawa's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this year Saikawa has won 1 and lost 2 with a 6.85 ERA, no saves and 4 strikeouts in 2 relief appearances. |
