PAA Selects Ketting August's Best Pitcher Saturday, September 1st, 2029 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Guus Ketting, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Myrtle Beach Mermen reliever, 26, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .189 average and walked away with the USPL Double A Pitcher of the Month award for August. Ketting posted a 1-0 mark and a 1.69 ERA in 11 relief appearances. In 10.2 innings, he had 8 saves, 12 strikeouts, and 7 walks. This season in 24 relief appearances Ketting has thrown 25.1 innings and collected 10 saves. His won-lost record is 2-6 with a 4.26 ERA. |
