Thunder Hawks, McDowell Blank Blue Sox Friday, August 24th, 2029 Today was Louis McDowell's turn in the rotation for the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and he made the most of it, shutting out the Irving Blue Sox on 3 hits. The 32-year-old right-hander led the Thunder Hawks to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing 3 walks and tallying 5 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Irving manager John Parkinson said. "McDowell certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
