Zúñiga Hits in 25 Straight Games Tuesday, July 10th, 2029 The Minnesota Loons may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 3-0 to the Westwood Sixshooters, but António Zúñiga continued to hit like a god. The second baseman collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 25 games. "Zúñiga is playing great and is on fire right now," Loons manager Luis Rea said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Zúñiga was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." António Zúñiga grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th. In 53 games Zúñiga is hitting .350 this season with 78 hits, 1 home run, 32 RBIs, 23 walks, .410 OBP and has scored 37 runs. |
