Rubén Ruíz Out for Season Thursday, September 6th, 2029 A blow for Rubén Ruíz today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 7 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Ruíz suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Ottawa Nationals are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Ruíz's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this year Ruíz has won 3 and lost 1 with a 2.54 ERA, 5 saves and 22 strikeouts in 17 relief appearances. |
