Makoto Kato Out for Season Friday, August 10th, 2029 A blow for Makoto Kato today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4 months with an arthritic elbow. Kato suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Alaskan Humpbacks are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Kato's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this year Kato has won 3 and lost 3 with a 7.09 ERA, 3 saves and 9 strikeouts in 23 relief appearances. |
