Red-Hot Pike Scorches Doubledays Thursday, September 13th, 2029 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for James Pike today. Pike went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Tremont pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Crane Field, he had a 5-for-7 line and a day he will long remember. And the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes had a 17-16 victory over the Doubledays. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. James Pike walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, tripled in the 11th and grounded out in the 14th.
