Quintana Rips Santa Barbara for 5 Hits Thursday, September 13th, 2029 Doubledays shortstop Jesús Quintana had his way with Santa Barbara pitching today at Crane Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 8 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Golden Cranes ruined his great day by toppling the Doubledays, 17-16. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Santa Barbara credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Quintana did today," Golden Cranes skipper William Franklin said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Jesús Quintana singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
